The Surprise Guest
It was a normal, partly cloudy Wednesday in the Midwest. As I was scheduling back to back appointments, one client in particular stood out. Just after the client left the gym, they appeared at my hotel room for their appointment but with a duffle bag. I figured that their actual gym clothes were in there bag since they were wearing work slacks and a collard shirt. Shortly after, the client got undressed and placed their duffle bag on the sofa. I soon get undressed and prepared the music to set the ambiance while dimming the lights.
As I am starting to massage the client, I noticed in my peripheral vision that the duffle bag had a netted side to it that was visually open to see what was in the bag. I had not noticed it before. When I turned my head to the left, I see a dog. A small, Yorkie. I immediately stopped massaging and said to the client, “I see you brought a special guest to have front seats to the Rub and Tug Show.” Without me elaborating more, the client lifted his head up and laughed hysterically. After his laughter, he stated, “That’s my dog, Samson. He’s very quiet and does no harm.”
The client was right. Samson was quiet during the entire session. Did not even have to urinate or defecate for a full 90 minutes. He just sat there and watched attentively as I massaged his daddy and later, stroked his wiener.
I wonder though. Did his dog enjoy the show?!
